Private rehab in Malaysia
Considering rehab abroad? A confidential recovery conversation can begin before you travel. Explore residential support in a calm, private villa, guided by people who have walked the same path.
Considering rehab abroad?
Searching for private rehab overseas often begins with a wish for privacy, distance from familiar triggers and time to focus on recovery. A different setting can help create space for change, but travelling abroad is not a treatment in itself. The right programme, the right level of care and a realistic plan for returning home matter most.
Eden Renewal Centre is a private recovery villa in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, supporting addiction, behavioural challenges and mental health concerns. If you are enquiring from the USA, Canada, Europe, the Middle East or elsewhere, start by discussing your situation and whether our support is appropriate for you.
People who understand
Our coaches and professionals have walked the same path. Lived recovery experience brings understanding, empathy and practical support to everyday life at Eden.
A home for whole-person recovery
A private villa, shared routines and a Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual approach: support for the body, emotions, relationships and personal sense of purpose.
Discretion, from the first conversation
Confidential enquiries, a small residential community and 24-hour recovery coach presence. Your circumstances are approached with care, not judgement.
What private rehab at Eden looks like
Explore our programmesResidential recovery
Live at the villa with a structured daily rhythm of coaching, therapy, nutrition, rest and activities. Our approach includes one-to-one counselling, group work, CBT and 12-Step principles, with recovery coach presence around the clock.
Support beyond a residential stay
Eden also offers outpatient support, sober living and one-to-one counselling. These are different levels of support, not interchangeable options. Discuss which programme fits your circumstances and location.
Family and mental health support
Recovery includes relationships as well as individual change. Family involvement and support for mental health concerns can be discussed during assessment, including age-appropriate options for adults and teens.
Planning rehab in Malaysia from overseas
You do not need to have every detail figured out before reaching out. Begin with suitability, then plan the journey.
01
Talk to us before booking travel
Use our free assessment form, WhatsApp or email. Tell us where you live, who needs support and what has been happening. Share only what you feel comfortable sharing initially.
02
Discuss the right level of support
Ask about residential care, current availability, programme expectations and any medical needs. Confirm whether Eden is a suitable option before making travel arrangements.
03
Check the practical details
Confirm your passport and Malaysia entry requirements, transport to Kota Kinabalu, medication documentation and arrangements for arrival. Discuss these with the team rather than assuming they are included.
04
Plan for life after the stay
Discuss family involvement, relapse-prevention planning and follow-up before admission. Ask which support can continue after you return home and what needs to be arranged locally.
If you may need medically supervised detox, have severe withdrawal symptoms or are in an acute mental health crisis, seek urgent medical assessment where you are. Do not stop alcohol or sedative medication abruptly or travel without medical advice. This guide is not medical advice.
Questions about private rehab abroad
Can I enquire from another country?
Yes. You can submit the free assessment form from wherever you live, or contact us on WhatsApp or at heal@edenrenewalcentre.com. An enquiry is the first conversation, not confirmation of admission.
How long would I need to stay?
Discuss the recommended programme and duration during assessment. Avoid planning a fixed return date before understanding your support needs, and ask how progress and next steps will be reviewed.
What should I ask before choosing a rehab overseas?
Ask about staff qualifications, medical support and referral arrangements, programme structure, confidentiality, family contact, medication management and aftercare. Confirm the full arrangements privately before committing; do not assume insurance, visas or airport transfers are handled by the centre.
Will my enquiry stay private?
Eden treats enquiries confidentially. Personal information is handled in accordance with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and, where applicable, GDPR. Tell us your preferred contact method and a suitable time, including your time zone.
What happens when I return home?
Ask the team to discuss aftercare, ongoing coaching and family support before your stay. Confirm what Eden can provide across borders and arrange suitable local professionals or recovery support where needed.
